Spring 2025

  • SEAC annually awards a small number of fieldwork grants for faculty, and pre-dissertation/dissertation research grants (which may include language training) for graduate students. Awards will be for up to $5,000.

  • SEAC will award approximately five grants of up to $1,000 each to support faculty publishing related to Southeast Asia and Southeast Asians, including in the diaspora.

2025-26 SEAC Course: Fall 2025

Are you interested in enrolling in the SUNY/CUNY SEAC's fall-semester course, Climate Change, Sustainability and Geography? The course is open to all students in CUNY and SUNY (grad and undergrad, regardless of discipline)! Your co-professors will be Vida Vanchan (SUNY Buffalo State University), Mitchitake Aso (SUNY Albany), and Peter Marcotullio (CUNY Hunter College).
